Public consultation: “EU citizens: your rights, your future”

11.07.2012

The European Commission launched in May a large public consultation targeting all EU citizens and organisations. This consultation, which will stay opened until 09/09/2012, aims at compelling EU citizens’ opinion about any obstacles they might face regarding the fact of living, studying, working, shopping or simply travelling within the EU. This is the biggest consultation on EU citizenship launched so far.

The results will be published next year, in the framework of the 2013 European Year of Citizens. The lack of awareness of the citizens regarding their rights as European Citizens is one of the reasons for this public consultation. The Commission wants now to determine how far people know about the rights they are entitled to.

This survey can be completed online, via a questionnaire, and won’t take more than a few minutes. In order to complete it, please click here.
