The event addressed key issues affecting young people today, including access to housing, future prospects, and the uncertainties many young people face when planning their lives and careers - especially in the Area around Stuttgart. A city with big automotive industry and already pretty high rents in comparsion to other German cities.
A central aim of the discussion was to create a space for dialogue between young people and political decision-makers, enabling participants to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas directly with policymakers.
The panel featured:
Claudia Schober (FDP)
Clara Schweizer (Alliance 90/The Greens)
Pedro Treuer (Volt)
The discussion was followed by an engaging exchange with the audience, highlighting the importance of participation, dialogue, and youth voices in shaping inclusive and sustainable solutions for the future.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this inspiring evening and helped make the event a success.
Save the date!
Housing insecurity in the EU will also be the central topic of or Policy Event, taking place 4-6 November 2026 in Brussels (BE).
