... for the kick-off of Generation LINK: Learn, Inspire, Network, Knowledge-Transfer.

LINK is designed to face a double challenge in youth and social work. Experienced professionals are retiring and taking their tacit knowledge with them, while younger staff too often leave the sector early. Generation LINK responds with a fresh approach, seniors pass on now-how and juniors bring fresh perspectives and digital skills.

Over two days we:

  • started to consider the emerging challenges our tandems will tackle, such as digitalisation, diversity and inclusion, green transition and poverty
  • built on the concept for our international Skills Lab training in Piteå (2027)
  • st out how we will form local tandems and evaluate their impact, with academic support
  • planned how we will share results with youth and social work organisations across Europe

Generation LINK contributes to the EU's focus on intergenerational fairness and to the European Youth Work Agenda, helping organisations retain knowledge, support staff wellbeing and build a more resilient workforce.

We are pleased to be part of this project with CMO STAMM, IB Südwest and Pitea Kommun. Many thanks to IB Südwest for hosting this KickOff Meeting.
