The YES Forum is a network of organisations working with and for young people who face disadvantages stemming from their socio-economic background, educational difficulties, discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity, and/or geographical seclusion.
With our work, we support the EU youth policy process. We actively work toward the fulfilment of the 2019-2027 EU Youth Strategy’s objectives, which are structured around 3 words:
Engage: With “Engage” the EU Youth Strategy aims towards a meaningful civic, economic, social, cultural and political participation of young people.
Connect: Connections, relations and exchange of experience are a pivotal asset for solidarity and the future development of the European Union. This connection is best fostered through different forms of mobility.
Empower: Empowerment of young people means encouraging them to take charge of their own lives. Today, young people across Europe are facing diverse challenges and youth work in all its forms can serve as a catalyst for empowerment.
The main areas we focus on in our work are education and training, youth employment, youth participation, and social inclusion. Furthermore, we support the objectives of the European Youth Goals and strive to always develop new and innovative ways to work with and for young people.
We are resolute about the best way to reach these objectives: it can only be done through a strong youth and social work sector across Europe.
